About me

My journey in photography began much like others, with a disposable camera. Initially started as a hobby using a point-and-shoot camera to capture memories evolved into a passion creating art through the lens. Growing up in New England provided me with the advantage of being a short drive away from a variety of landscapes, ranging from rugged lines to verdant forests and everything in between. I was particularly drawn to nature photography for its serene qualities. The tranquil stillness of nature offers a refreshing escape from the fast pace of daily life, allowing for a moment to slow down.

I started out with a Canon Powershot 60XS and began to hike my local trails and state parks taking pictures of anything and everything. A few years later I invested in my first DSLR, a Nikon D5600. I began to teach myself all there was to know with nature photography. I quickly learned how important post processing would be and took to YouTube. There I found professional landscape photographer Mark Denney and his series of Lightroom videos teaching the ins and outs of photo processing. After following his teachings for the past several years with many more years of practice, I upgraded my camera set up once more to the Nikon Zf mirrorless platform.

Today, I am beginning the transition from hobbyist to professional looking to continue to learn and strengthen my skillset with every opportunity. I am always looking for new challenges and adventures, not just with landscapes and nature, but also portraits and events.
